De Utrecht
De Utrecht is a space for cultural interactions and gatherings in a newly renovated jugendstil national monument. Every room in De Utrecht is decorated with typographic details originally conceived by the architects A.J. Kropholler en J.F. Staal in 1904. We expanded these decorations into a bespoke typeface by referencing original sketches. Using this typface, we created an identity that recontextualizes de Utrecht's jugendstil design, making it classical yet modern.
